Mechanics and Mechanisms

What is a mechanism? How do the devices we know work? And how does this relate to Leonardo da Vinci who was a painter?

The development of human society is related to and depends on its technological ability. Since the dawn of history, humankind has learned to use the natural resources in the environment, built and invented instruments and tools to help us overcome our physical limitations. In the exhibition you will encounter games from different mechanics, special mechanisms, robotic arms, and many more inventions that have made us able to transform the world into what it is today.

Among the installations in the exhibition:

A slightly odd seesaw – you’re against the weights.

My robot – A dice game with a mechanical robot.

Machinery and the environment – environmental elements such as weight, friction, balance and others that affect the operation of machines.

Visiting Newton – an experiential experience with breakthrough discoveries and inventions.
